Hi T1000,
Thanks for using our discussion forums! Since NI-IMAQ 3.0 is driver software, and not really a stand-alone program, you shouldn't expect to see any icons, etc as a result of its installation. One thing you should have, however, is Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). Assuming you are using Windows, you can go to Start>>Programs>>National Instruments>>Measurement & Automation. In here, you should see any NI devices you have installed listed under "Devices and Interfaces" and can use that tool to interactively snap and grab images, as well as configure any other settings in your system.
If you are looking to program yoour IMAQ device, you should now have all of the functions installed to program in your language of choice (we suggest LabVIEW)! If you are using LabVIEW, you can navigate on the functions palette to All Functions>>NI Measurements>>Vision and find all of the functions you now have installed.
If you are new to LabVIEW, you may also want to check out some of the example programs that install with IMAQ at C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\Examples\IMAQ\
Best Regards,
Dan
