Is necesary to define a ROI ? What is the reason?
What VI I have to use to choose a pair of edges to define an object distance?. Is posible to use the mouse?.

Hi Pablo,

If you are new in Vision I will suggest you to start with the examples. The Vision Assistant is another tool that can help you in the beginning.

The first thing you must do is find the object in the picture. You can do it many ways. Pattern Matching, Circle Detection, Shape Detection, it's all depends of your setup.

Take a look in this tutorial. This can help you in your application.

Hi Pablo,

It's a little difficult to answer your question. Only you know your application, it's specifications and requirements.

I strongly suggest you to take a look on Vision Assistant. It's a great tool do start your application and you can generate LabVIEW Code from it. You can find a lot of information in Developer Zone. There are tutorials and example code to LabVIEW and others NI products.

Then, if you have more specific question, feel free to ask NI again.
