Did you mean:

IMAQdx and Pleora iPORT CL serial RS232 link ?

Hi Signal_G

In the end I had to write my own library of subVIs making .NET calls.

I got there by following the C examples from Pleora.

For the daisychained through CameraLink comms, I had to invoke a virtual serial port bridge using software called com0com. This makes two virtual, connected serial ports, one exposed to Windows calls as usual, the other end 'connected' to the Pleora framegrabber.

Quite a lot of stuff to sort out and .NET handles to manage.

I'll see if I can upload the library of subVIs but can't upload the main programme.

Thanks SDC.  I'll definitely take any examples you can send.  I had read about the com0com possibility but I was hoping to avoid another software.  I have to get gov approval for all of the software.  If you get a chance to post some examples I'd be most grateful.

BTW I contacted Pleora and their customer support is definitely sub-awesome.

Thanks again!

Did anyone have any luck with this? I'm struggling to update some old NI vision code that was using an old version of the iport serial protocol.

Hi,

Bit of a long shot since the post was in 2016 but...

Does anyone have example code/snippets to integrating the Pleora iPORT CL using .Net?

Do you have the Pleora SDK?  I'm digging through some old stuff but my LabVIEW code for it just looks like iMAQ code

I found a simple test VI written in iMAQ DX but it's just reading a camera set up in MAX which I'm sure you can do.  It's been so long that I can't remember what I did.  I did find a folder that says "Pleora Drivers (iPort CL-U3)" with installers for Win, Mac, Linux.  It does have a bunch PDF Read Me's in there.  I can pack that up and send it if you want it.

Thanks, Bad_Sines.

You can pack that and send it to me.

Additionally, do you have any experience integrating the eBUS SDK .NET/C++ library with LabVIEW? If you've already done it, could you please share some insights or ideas?

I have to reply with my old account since my other is a new account and NI inexplicably limits new accounts to two posts per 24 hours.

This zip file has the eBUS SDK installers and six different PDF's that walk you through it.  The zip is 350 MB.  I can't send that here.  How do you want me to send it to you?
