How can i access the 1742 smart cameras in Max like a normal 1394 cameras

R u saying that you are not able to view the camera in max? If so go through this link for trouble shooting

Sorry but am still not getting your question.Do you mean to say that the camera is in remote system and you want to view them in your system's max?

      Sorry for that. I will explain my question clearly. I have smart camea 1742.I want to use that. But im not going to dump the Labview code into camera.code is in My PC.i want to access smart camera as a normal 1394 camera. for that i connected the camera with my system. Max is detecting the smart camera but not in Devices and interfaces(usually 1394 cameras are detected in this field), it is detecting in Remote system. My I/O s are controlled by NI daq card so i have to run the code in my system.But smart camera comes as a remote system. so i need to map it into "My system- devices and interfaces" field in Max. is there any way is possible to do that. If you have any clarifications please reply me.

You can't access a smart camera as a firewire camera, because it ISN"T a firewire camera.  You are not going to be able to use the smart camera as a regular camera.  You could configure the smart camera to just take pictures and send them back to the PC, but that would be like trying to swat a fly with a tree - way overkill.

Why did you buy a smart camera if you just want a regular 1394 camera???
