I have an instrumentation project due tomorrow and I am stuck with camera vi
please can you help solve my problem.
I tried different image types but nothing worked.
Im attaching the vi, i want to measure the area of an object+ dimensions
Im getting an error due to image type problems (although im changing the type)
thank you

Try to use IMAQ Extract Color Planes (with HSL Color Mode, then use Hue plane) instead of IMAQ Cast Image.
Andrey.

Dmitriev, What else should i change?
For the Intesity Plane, I created a constant and named it that way.
What happens to the upper code?
Do i remove it?
Thanks

It happened because you have connected to output "Red or Hue Plane out", but shoud use output "Blue or Luma or Val or Inten Plane out" instead.

Andrey, it worked without crashing.
The project was postponed 1 week 🙂
It gives a reading area, number of objects, and ratio of length and width.
But the number of objects it is giving changes continously when i place the camera infront 1 10x10 object.
How can I solve this problem?
About the area, how can i change the units to show mm^2
I placed the indicator for the image out but it does not show.
ion.rosca I have a USB camera that grabs an image continously(more like a video)
I am uploading the recent vi, how can i solve the other problems?
Thank you
