Error code 0xBFF60428 error in executable

Hi,

I am using the subvi IMAQ Construct ROI to define a rectangular ROI on a floating image window to then crop the outside of the ROI on the image with IMAQ extract. All works well on my machine with LabVIEW 8.2, NI Vision 8.2.0, and NI IMAQ 3.7.0. However, when I create an executable and installer for this application, the executable opens the floating window, shows the ROI, but then returns the error message above with the indication error 1074396120 in Construct ROI and the hex code indicated in the error message 0xBFF60428.

The installer includes the labview runtime engine 8.2 as well as the NI-IMAQ 3.7.

THank you for your feedback.

Jean-Michel Maarek,

Does the error come with any sort of message?  Most times this error is associated with the message, "Not an Image" or something similar.  This is often caused by code not being properly prepared for images, in other words not having the appropriate number of IMAQ Create.vis.  Make sure that the multiple image inputs for the various VIs all have their own IMAQ Create.vis.  Other than that, there may have been an issue creating the installer, and I would suggest creating it again to see if that helps.  Thank you, and let me know if you have further questions!

Thank you. The image does come with the message "not an image". The error occurs in a subvi and the image is passed as an input to the subvi. There are no other images in the subvi. Do I still need to use IMAQ Create.vi?

I will try recreating the installer.

Hi Jean-Michel Maarek,

When you extract the image, do you use an IMAQ Create VI to open another memory space for the destination image?  To help reiterate what Allison mentioned, if you have both Image Src and Image Dst wired into the IMAQ Extract VI, you will need two references coming from two separate IMAQ Creates.  I hope this helps.  If you still would like further clarification, a screenshot of your application might be beneficial.

Regards,

Vu
