Creating install for IMAQ Application

Hi

I am writing a app using NI Vision Developement Module version 8.5, a NI PCIe-1427 Cameralink grabber in VB.Net2005.

I have a vision run-time license for my client.

I need to know how to create an installer and get IMAQ and Vision running on their PC.

Do I just use the Visual Studio Setup Wizard project?  Are there any special instructions I need to know?

Hello,

I only use LabVIEW so I can't garranty it works exactly the same but what I normally do is :
- build an installer with LabVIEW that includes the Vision run time and the LabVIEW runtime,
- launch the installer on the client's PC,
- when I first lauch the application, a window pops up saying that I can either activate the vision runtime or use the evaluation version for 30days,
- to activate, the vision runtime you need the client's serial number with which you get another number on a NI web page,

If you follow this, it works.. the thing is you need the client's PC AND an internet access.

Thanks for that.

I will probibly first install the vision run-time engine manually, because I will have to make changes and then recompile and reinstall.
