Hi,
This thread talks about a similar issue with regards to Labview 8.0 and Vision 7.1.1.
Please try the workaround at the bottom of the page. If this doesn't help let me know and we will work on an alternate solution.

Hey,

i think you are talking about this reply

"Hi!

It's possible to work with LabVIEW 8 and IMAQ Vision 7.1.1

You have to defer the mnu files from C:\Programme\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\menus\default\vision to C:\Programme\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.0\menus\Categories\VisionMotion and copy the files VisionControlsMNU.dll and VisionControl.mnu to C:\Programme\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.0\menus\Controls

ThSa

"

... but these path don't exist like he has written them! For example the first one  "C:\Programme\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\menus\default\" has in default only the 2 folders daq and daqmx !  and i also can't find the two dll files he is talking about!  Do you think i have to installe everything again? Maybe i missed something?!

Cheers,

Dominik

Hey Dominik,
Is Labview 8 the only version of Labview you have installed on that PC? If it is, the files in questions (and the folders) should exist.
If reinstalling doesn't solve this issue, please post a query at www.ni.com/ask and I will deal with you through email or ring us on 01635 523545
Regards,

My University has LV 7 + NI Vision 7  and LV 8 ...

i have first installed LV 8...then i figured out that i need Vision for my appliance and consequently i installed Vision 7 !

No i have 3 different LV-folders  in my "national instruments"-folder, namely LV 7.0, 7.1 and 8.0!

Both folders from version 7 contain the following :  examples, help, menus, resources, templates and vi.lib

I don't know why i have these folders, because i have just installed LV 8 ... maybe its because of the vision installation afterwards!

I hope this information helps you to help me 😉

Thx,

Dominik
