CompactVision system and 3x IEEE colour camera

Hi,

I need to build an inspection unit with 3 IEEE 1394 colour cameras (1280*1024).
All 3 need to take an image every 100 ms.
So I have 3 simultaneous images every 100 ms.

Is this possible (bandwidth limitation).
According to my first calculation : no.
But I find it hard to believe that it isn't possible.

If it really isn't, what is an alternative?

You could use multiple firewire cards, with one per camera. I'm not sure if this would exceed the PCI bus limit, though.

If you cannot reach your specs with a CVS than, indeed, a Firewire card with multiple inputs can be a solution.
