Hi Dan,

Because the panel is 0 bytes, it looks like the problem is either that the web server is not running or has incorrect settings.  Can you verify that your executable is still running on the target?

Hello Brandon,

Here is the file I am trying to use remote front panels on.

I know I have turned the web server on and the executable is running on my target.

Thanks

Dan

Hi Dan,

Things to check here are: firewall settings, browser settings, and and runtime engines installed on the PC that you are viewing the remote front panel from.  Another possible item to check is the VI itself, to make sure that it is not using all of the processing power of the CVS, in which case the CVS may be unable to transmit data to update the remote front panel (RFP).

In your case, it looks like the VI is fine.  I was also concerned that the problem might be that your browser will not allow you to show ActiveX controls, but if that were the case, I believe you would see a broken picture icon instead of a "downloading panel" screen.  Because we can see the web page with the text that you have added, it seems that nothing is wrong with the CVS itself or your web setup.  Also, I double-checked to see what you would see if the VI were not running, and in that case, the message would read "Requested VI is not loaded into memory on the server computer."

Also, I spoke with Justin, the other engineer with whom you have been working on this issue, and he informed me that you are opening the RFP from a computer with the LabVIEW development environment on it, so the problem is not lack of a runtime engine.

All of this leads me to believe that the next most likely cause of your problem is firewall and security settings.  That would be the next item to check.  It may also be beneficial to try another computer.  This computer will need either the LabVIEW development software or the LabVIEW runtime engine.

We also ask that you limit your requests to one per issue.  Justin and I will be working together on this, but we would prefer that you only interacted with one of us for increased efficiency.
