Hello back,

You're right I forgot to explain such a point.
First of all, maximum white reference is 1.4V for 1409 and this board allows you to set both Black Reference and White Reference.

Secondly, you think right regarding conversion. As you work with 8 bit images, you have 256 gray levels so that the final White Reference you should set is : (1.40 * X) / 256 where X is the maximum gray level of the range you want to work in (98% of the pixels is the commonly used settings ...). Regarding the Black Reference, the formula becomes (1.40 * Y) / 256 where Y is the minimum gray level in the range

Hope this solves your question
Best regards,

Hello again!

Dear Mr. Mathieu,

I implemented your suggested algorithm and it works perfectly but I have one more question about it.

I noticed that the reference voltage values I set are only kept until the end of the previously opened session. How can I save these settings, just like in MAX??

Thanks in advance!

Hello back,

I am glad that you manage to make it work. It is actually not that hard, but really ain't trivial !

By the way, regarding your last question, i suggest you to save your settings in a file... Just simple as that Smiley Wink

Best regards
