pci-6534

Hi,

I am trying to read 15 TTL digital input lines that are synchronous with positive or negative edge of clock. The clock Fmax=10Mhz ( 50% duty cycle) and it should be connected to the external triger input.

I also need to have an option to sample those TTL lines without using external trigger/clock.

Can PCI 6534 do that ?

Thanks,

Hello,

If you wish to sample on both rising and falling edges in the same acquisition, you will need to get a card which can do double data rate (DDR) like the 6547/48 or 6561/62 cards.  There are some additional resources that I found with DDR Features, more documentation on DDR.  All HSDIO cards including the 6534 have onboard clocks for sampling.  The rate of these clocks depend on the card.

Hey,

I hope your search for a high speed DIO card is going well.  I wanted to give you some more information for you to use.  As far as a card recommendation, the 6536 and 6537 are both newer and has more functionality for the same price range.  That is if you have an available PCIe slot on your motherboard to use them.

I think I misunderstood you before with the DDR, and as long as you are either on the positive edge the whole acquisition or negative edge on the whole acquisition, you can use the 653X cards for your application.

If you would like a low cost solution, the PCIe-6535 will have the specs you are looking for as well.  It has a 10MHz clock rate that will work for the speeds you are looking at.
