align control labels

For those of you that place 'Align ...whatever direction' buttons on your user interface toolbar in CVI 8, these buttons do not enable properly if you select only control labels and hope to align them.  These toolbar buttons only enable if you want to align the controls themselves.  Control labels can still be aligned like usual from the IDE menu bar, but this is a toolbar misbehavior that should be looked into by NI.

I tried to reproduce this, but I wasn't able to do it. I selected the labels of two numeric controls and left-aligned them successfully (see attached screenshot).

Can you let me know what exactly you tried to align? It looks as if this might only happen with certain control combinations.

Ok, it looks as if I read your description incorrectly. I now realize you were talking about the toolbar button, and not the menubar. I was indeed able to reproduce the problem you describe. I also noticed that this bug has been there since 7.0.
