Windows 7 Privilege Questions

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I'm using LabWindows/CVI 2009 Full Development System version 9.1.1 (450), on a Windows XP machine.

The application I’ve developed:

1. Has an associated distribution kit that my customers must run in order to install it.

2. Must have write access to local directories, including the root directory if possible.

However, my customers will be using Windows 7 machines, and they will NEVER have administrative privileges.

Are (1) and (2) above possible for Windows 7 users who will never have administrative privileges?

Thank You

Hi Chopper77,

(1) -- This not possible for windows 7 users without administrative priviledges.

(2) -- They will be able to write to local directories but not root directories.

I hope that this helps.
