I had LabWindows 8.1.1 and everything worked fine. I received an upgrade to 8.5 still OK, then another upgrade for 8.5 and I started having many problems. Libraries could not be found, features stopped working (right click - show function panel for some functions) The Measurement and Automation studio got real slow and stopped working - could not access database. I get numerous errors from nimxs.exe when booting up my pc before I ever log in. I searched the knowledge base and mostly found - reinstall software. I completely removed all NI software and reinstalled 8.1.1. Some things returned - libraries, but I still get nimxs.exe errors and the Measurement & Automation still doesn't work. I also reinstalled LabView 8.5 - I don't think it ever had any problems. Other than removing and reinstalling, I don't know what else I can do. I am using the DAQCard DIO-24 to set and clear bits. The same problems are on my desktop and laptop.
Something new - my laptop (but not my Desktop) did something different today and a pop-up said my database was corrupt - it mentioned KB 3L9AK06E and so I ended up deleting folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data/National Instruments/MAX/Data
I did this on both computers and now both Measurement and Automation Explorers are working.
Are you still having problems with libraries not being found in CVI 8.5? If so, can you give us a more detailed description of what errors you're seeing?
