CVI search dialog bug...

Solved!
Go to solution

i, once again, can't find the bug submission page. so i will post here:

using CVI 8.5, when performing a search (CTRL+F). when selecting the "Multiple files" checkbox but NOT the "Search In Folders" checkbox, if the directory indicated in the "search in folders" options is invalid, the search will complain and not execute. note that this specific option is disabled since "search in folders" is not selected, so the search should not have to worry about what's written there...

(also: is there a page to follow the resolution of bugs submitted to NI ?)

You're right, this is a bug. I've entered a bug report for it (#130204).

So far as I know there isn't a publically available database that you can use to check the status of a bug report. Each release of CVI includes in its readme file a list of all of the bugs that were fixed for that release, and you can also see this list online (for example, here's the list for the 8.5.1 release). If a fix hasn't been released publically yet, I recommend that you post a question here in, or email NI support directly, asking about the status of the bug report.

Hello everyone, I would like to add another case of failure of the utility of research of CVI 2010 that I have just installed. Basically I noticed that not all search results are highlighted by the application. Someone hasalready found and fixed this bug?

Thanks a lot.

Bye.
