ActiveX control error -143

Hello, i have program which is using WindowsMediaPlayer by ActiveX. The problem is that i can't start the program one PC with Win 2000, but the application is working an my other PC(also Win 2000). When the program is started an error message pops up.

Error in call to LoadPanel.

Parent Panel Handle: 0
UIR File Name: Play Sound.uir
Panel Resource ID: 1

Error Code: -143

ActiveX control error


Do you have an idea why this application doesn't work? Other programs without ActiveX, i have written are functioning.

Hello Paco,

On the two machines you tested your application on, do they have the same version of Windows Media Player? The problem could arise from the difference in the two versions. Are the two computers the same in this aspect?

Yes both PCs have the same WMP.

Hello Paco,

Which version of CVI are you using? Is the application working on the machine with the development environment on it, or just the CVI runtime engine (as in, what is the difference between the computer exhibiting the correct and incorrect behavior)? If you recreate the controller on the machine with the incorrect behavior, then recompile your application, do you still see the incorrect behavior?
