Did you mean:

write to spreadsheet file not executable

Hi,
I have a problem with labview 8. My VIs won't run if they have the subVI "Write to spreadsheet file"... it causes an error saying:

The subVI is not executable. You must fix all errors in the subVI before this VI can run.

What should i do? What does this mean?

thanks
aleks.

Well, maybe you accidentally messed up the code in it. Did you ever edit it? You can double-click the "write to spreadsheet" VI to open its front panel and look at the code. Now click on its broken run arrow. What kinds of error messages do you get?

If this all just happened during the current editing session and you did not save the changes to "write to spreadsheet", maybe you can do a "menu...file...revert" to undo the bad stuff.

Are you using the new version from the LabVIEW 8.0 palette?

Hi,
I can't look at it right now, because im at home.

However, this was a new installation of labview 8, on a formatted computer. I installed it just before this error occured. The same error occurs in the example made by NI for that subvi.

I also got that "not executable" message for some of the subVI that were in my old Labview 7 programs, which i tried running with Labview 8. So the problem is probably more deeply rooted.

Thanks
Aleks.
