web control - big delay

 Hello all.
I have LV7.1.
I want monitoring the control panel LV (with 1 signal) on the Web Browser Netscape.
Information are changed on the Web Browser Netscape.
But Information are changed with delay 0.3-1 sec.
Why  is delay so big?

Hello,

This could be due to delays in the network connection, or perhaps if the VI is very large, delays in trasmitting large amounts of data.  If you try web publishing a very simple VI do you see better performance?  If you have many front panel indicators, you could try grouping them logically into clusters, and updating the values of those clusters (and all the elements inside at once) instead of all the indicators individually.

Hello
Thanks for the attention.
I did very simple VI: 1-button and 1- indicator. That is all.

Hello,

Could it then be correlated with your network connection?  For example, I wouldn't be suprised (or as surprised) if you were using a dial-up internet connection.  If you're doing this "very remotely," is there any way you can try this very simply on a few networked computers in the same submask?  I guess I am just trying to help you figure out the root cause of the delay - whether or not we can work around it is another story.

Hello,

Perhaps this is due to your security settings - I don't know that we have the information in this thread to know for sure what the problem is.  You mentioned you wanted to monitor the front panel - if you don't need control, try configuring your viewing options for the web publishing tool as shown in the attached screenshot.

Do you see a difference across the viewing options types?

Hello,

There is at least on contingency for netscape regarding the monitor viewing option - it's use will depend on the version of netscape you have - please see the following for details: (there is a table with viewing options as column headers, and various categories that they are compatible with)

Web Publishing Tool Viewing Options

Are you using Netscape 4.x or 6.x?
