wavelets tutorial

Hi,

Is there anybody out there who has the advanced signal processing toolkit, and happen to know a thing or two about wavelets? I need it to detect jumps in a DC signal:

I don't have a clue where to start? I've got this working by getting the second derivative and doing a peak detection on it, it works okay, but when the noise levels are to high i gives to many peaks...
