When a Waveform data chart does NOT have th e"Ignore attributes" option checked, the channel names that appear in the plot legend is derived from the attributes of teh waveform itself.

You have to use the "NI_ChannelName" attribute of the waveform to set the name... or maybe just changing the name of the wizard thingy may do the trick.

I am not exactly sure I understood what you mean. Could you elaborate / modify the example VI?
