when writed VISA command "outpdata",instrument sends results in the form of  string data.and command "outpplot",instrument converts image of its screen to string data and then sends the string data ,how can i recover the imgage?

In Many examples virtual printer is used to solve problem ,they  tell how to print something ,we just send what we want to print to virtual printer,but in the condition ,what I want to printer has been compiled into the the string data which is like what pc sends to printer.how can i process this condition?
