version problem

a program was originally developed in version 5.1, now I made some
modification(very simple) under version 6, but
when I run it under version 5.1, it says there is some resource not
available, how can I solve this problem?

The File menu has an item to Save with Options...
This dialog will let you save a LV6 VI for LV5.x.
If you know or can find the VIs that have been
saved in 6.0, you can save them to be compatible
with 5.x.

Guohua,

There reason you are getting an error is because you are trying to open a later version of a LabVIEW VI in an earlier version of LabVIEW. You need to save it as a LabVIEW 5.1 program.

Go back into LabVIEW 6 and open your modification. Go to FILE-SAVE WITH OPTIONS. You may then click the stereo button for SAVE FOR PREVIOUS. This will save your VI as an earlier version of LabVIEW, which will allow you to open it in LabVIEW 5.1.
