v5.1 file checksum being changed by v7.1

I have a procedure written in version 5.1 which has a checksum generated in 5.1. I am running this program in version 7.1 and it calculates a different checksum.  Is this a normal operation of the newer Labview?

About what do you compute a checksum? Of the vi?
