upload and plot text files

Hi

I would like to upload and plot as overlays several text files in labview.

Uploading and ploting one file is not a problem but I want to load several and see them overlayed in a single plot.  Presumably I need a looping routine that uploads each file independently putting the data in an array, then plots each of the arrays to the x-y graph.  I just can't figure a way of doing it.  Can anybody help?

If you open the example called XY graph in the example finder, you will see how you build a multiplot graph. What you will probably need to do is process the data that comes out of your reading loop and convert it into this structure using the array and cluster functions. If you can't manage to do this, I suggest you post your VI, as well as an example of your text files.

To learn more about LabVIEW, I suggest you try searching this site and google for LabVIEW tutorials. Here and here are a couple you can start with. You can also contact your local NI office and join one of their courses.
In addition, I suggest you read the LabVIEW style guide and the LabVIEW user manual (Help>>Search the LabVIEW Bookshelf).
