Did you mean:

tv signal processing with labview, a TV PATTERN GENERATOR GV-498B and oscilioscope AGILENT 54622A

Hi there, sorry for our last post; we are  noobs at posting ^^
We need to use a parallel port on a computer as data input, since we havent found any direction or advise, or just couldnt find it, we were looking for some help.

We have a "TV pattern generator" and a licensed Labview

1) Is there any VI or similar for labview that uses parallel port as data input?
2) Can we generate tv signals, simple pattern signals like circles  or squares in labview?

Thanks a lot

Stop posting the same question several times! Give time for people to read and then respond. I dare say that most of the people on this board are in the US, and in the US it's Thanksgiving tomorrow, and a lot of people are taking today off.

When you say "generate tv signals", do you mean actual video?  If so, there are ways of doing this, but I'm confused about the other stuff you mention, especially the parallel port...  circles, etc..

Start by describing what it is that you want to achieve.  Also..  put everything in a single post.  I'm not sure which post is the right one to respond to.  There's info all over the place.

Did I read that you prefer the info in Spanish?  If so, there is a Spanish-language board.  Or simply describe what you want to achive in Spanish in ONE single thread (pick the one where you started getting some repsonses).  At worst, we can translate to english and give some reply.  But right now, I do not know what you want to achive, so it is hard to give any advice.  As for one of your questions, I have dealt with DVB broadcast tests using LV before, but the solution used equipment controlled by Labview, not directly.

If you want to display a test pattern on a tv / monitor, that can be done as well.  You will need the correct drivers for monitors and proper equipment for the correct signal to a tv, which I think you've got based on the title of this message.  These can be controlled / driven by Labview.

Yes, the original poster was rude to post the identical question so many times but that was a long time ago and it seems pretty silly to make your first post in almost a year just to point that out.
