This has always worked for me before, but not any more.  Smiley Surprised I've been at this for nearly half an hour. ?????

That's strange.  The values are in there you just can't see them. If I use the arrows it works, but when I expand the list I see empty names.  Though, when I select one it displays properly.  A head scratcher to be sure.

Solution
Accepted by PaulG.

I think I fixed it myself. My data file was created in Excel, saved as a text file. I went back into the Excel file and made sure my cells were formatted as text only. Resaved, reloaded into this vi and it appears OK. What a strange symptom, though.

May I give myself kudos and solution if I do it myself? Smiley Happy

You have nulls (\00) throughout the strings fed to the ring.  Remove  the nulls and I think you will see your strings.

Here is a code snippet which will remove the nulls.
