tab control

Hello,
some days ago I read on this group an exchange about a tab control.
Now, searching as I would, I found no trace of such a control in my
LV 5.1 (Mac).
Is this control a supplement or simply not yet available in v.5.1?
Thanks for any answer shedding light on this question

Hi Pierre,

the only way to use such a tab control in version 5.1.x is to insert it
as an ActiveX control. If you need some information about it then look
into the developer zone by NI and search for tab control... The version
6i will contains now a own tab control!

There is a way though to have tab control programmed in LV5. Search ni
web site for examples.
The idea is to hide/show appropriate control pages stacked one
above/below each other on the same front panel.
It was first presented in 1998 in NIWEEK presentations and was available
on ni web.

Hi,

In LV5 you can 'fake' tab controls. The Application Builder does this. (the
Application Builder is a VI...). Make some buttons on top, and some bundles
which you make visible, or move the active bundle (corresponding to the
active button on top) to top. You can do this using attibute nodes.

Not ideal, but it works. For the 'windows' look, use transparent buttons,
and a bitmap behind it.

Regards,

Wiebe Walstra.
