subvi missing

My hardware is DAQcard-AI-16XE-50, software is Labview6. OS is XP. I try to run the example code "Acquire_1_Point_from_1_Channel.zip". It appears that a subvi called "AI Sample Channel.vi" is missing. Where to get it?

Hello Bingcheng,

The AI Sample Channel VI is installed with the Traditional NI-DAQ driver.  You can get the driver from the Drivers and Updates Page, the latest version of Traditional NI-DAQ supported in LabVIEW 6.0 is version 7.0.  It is recommended that you install the driver before installing the DAQ card so that Windows recognizes and configures the proper driver with the DAQ card.

I did install the traditional driver (7.4.1). The hardware functions all right using the NI's Measurement & Automation utility. Problem is that when I ran the example VI using Labview, the message says that Subvi is missing. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello Bingchen,

The Traditional NI-DAQ version 7.4.1 is not supported in LabVIEW 6.0.  You will have to use a version of Traditional NI-DAQ between version 6.0 and 7.0 in LabVIEW 6.0.
