sub vi

Hi,

I can not open a sub vi in a main vi.

I made the sub vi like it's explaned in the manual, but for some reason it will not open in a new vi.

Any sugestions?

OED.vi is the main.

Buffer.vi The Sub

I think we misunderstood each other. You created two separate VIs. None of them is a part of the other, and so none of them is a subVI to the other. To place one into another, either:

- drag and dropp the icon of the one onto the Block diagram of the other

- in the Block diagram: right-click > Select a VI... and select your VI

Yes, as ghighuphu is saying, you need to actually drag the VI you want to use as a subVI into your mainVI. In order to fully understand this concept, I encourage you to read this:
