I have an instrument that returns a string value "16.364 g enter." and I want to convert this into a numeric value, disregarding the "g enter" part. So I would have a final numeric value of 16.364

Examplestring.pnggoto the "string number conversion" from the "string pallete", then to "fract/exp string to number"
