Hi all, I have a pxi-1042 chassis with a pxi-8187 embedded controller (pentiumIV,2.5GB). I also hav a pxi-5600 rf signal analyser(comprising pxi-5600 rf downconverter and pxi-5620 digitizer). Please suggest as to how i can design a spectrum analyser using labVIEW and this hardware. Thanking u, Lalit
Search the examples for Spectrum Analyzer. There is a Simple Spectrum Analyzer vi that shows how to use a DAQ device to capture a signal and display its power spectrum. You could substitue your device for the DAQ device vi. I'm not sure but you may have to have the Spectral Analysis toolkit. I believe that this toolkit comes with the RF Downconverter.
Hi Lalit, In addition to the example programs there is a great utility that is installed with the RFSA driver. Go to Start>>All Programs>>National Instruments>>NI-RFSA>>RFSA Demo Panel. This is an application that was written in LabVIEW which will give you the functionality of a Spectrum Analyzer.
