sine wave generation

Hi

I have been using the Sine Wave Generator .vi for just a basic application to generate a sine wave with adjustable amplitude, freq (100Hz+) etc etc

Recently I started using the same vi but for an application using much lower frequencies in the rage of sub 1Hz, eg 1e-3Hz. But I have noticed a problem with this, on the graph display the whole sine wave is not produce, only the start of it (just the first second). I have tried changing the graph properties and scale, but I only get the output for the first second, which just appears like a straight line. Can this be fixed? or is there some other kind of problem?

Any suggestions

Thanks

Jeff

I assume you mean Sine Waveform.vi that is on the Waveform Generation palette. When you are tyring to generate a sub-hz signal, what do you set for the sample rate and number of samples?

p.s. If this about the Sine Waveform function, you should have posted this to the LabVIEW board. This board is for questions about NI signal generator hardware.

Yes, I use the default values for samples, but I have changed them but it has had no effect.
I think the simplest way to desctipe what I am trying to achieve is a sine wave, which completes one cycle in say 10 min or 1 hour.
I will also try the other forum.

Thanks

Envoyez-moi une source de code pour créer un générateur d'onde sinusoïdale de base, je suis débutant dans LabVIEW.

This thread is almost two decades old. Unless you are looking for a simple simulation, it would be important to know what hardware you have.
