shared variables values saved in library?

Hi,

 

Is there any way to save the last value of a shared variable to the library file so that this value can be accessed next time the vi is run, even if the cRIO module has been powered off in between?

I am writing an application and I need to access previous values of some shared variables. I was working on saving the values I need to a .ini file so that they can be retrieved later, but I thought it would be much simpler if only the value of shared variables was kept over power cycles. I looked at the library file and it is an xml file. I can't imagine it would be that difficult to include this as an option.

 

Any ideas or comments?
