serial ports

I have a problem with a evaluation of LabView 8.0. It doesn't see me serial ports !!

When i use "VISA Configure serial port" there nothing in the control and when i use NI-DAQmx there is no com in devices and interfaces.

But i check me connection with modscan and it work !! And it also also work on another computer with Labview 7.1.

Anybody can help me ??

Are you sure that Serial VISA is installed? You can check this with Measurement & Automation Explorer (look into the Software folder for VISA or the Devices and Interfaces folder for serial ports)

My serial port doesn't appear in Measurement & automation explorer.

But when I use VISA Configure serial port with a version 7 I have ASRL::INSTR in the control And  not with the version 8.

If NI-VISA does not appear in MAX's Software folder, you must install VISA from the Device Drivers CD's. You may also download it form NI's site.
