Did you mean:

save with options

Hi,

I need an urgent help... I tried to save my VIs using Save With Options in File menu, then I selected Custom Save, all the VIs got saved in a .llb format but now I am unable make any changes, as I am not able to see the code (VIs / SubVIs). I am also not able to make changes in my front panel. It says that it has got password protection although I have not assigned any.

I hope I am clear. I am sure there must some way to bring it back.

Thank you
Sreedhar.

As I can understand, you trying to create .LLB where all sub-VIs will be placed. For this action select Application Distribution and replace selecting point in the window to case "No password change".

I think, your problem has a place to be becouse the default selection is "Remove Diagram", that removes all front panels of your VIs.

If you do not save your VIs with passwords, this question is disappears (I've never saved the VIs with passwords because of that I don't know how it's saving works), but try to save with option "remove passwords" and than save with option "no password change".

Hi,

I have tried both the options...
in first case: It asking me to enter password... something that I have not created and I do not know. If I still try to save it by saying NO, it is getting saved but with the same effect earlier.
in second case: It is going to development distribution and the outcome has no change.

I think there is some master password.... coz, this type of problem seems to be common.

It sounds like you selected Application Distribution if you have no diagrams. If you had selected Apply New Password, you would have been prompted for it. If the VIs in the llb truly have no diagrams, there is absolutely nothing in the world to bring them back. If you didn't delete them, the original VIs that you created the llb from will be okay. Since a password cannot be blank, you couldn't accidently have saved them with a password. Unless of course you typed something in the dialog box and now can't remember what the password is. Password protected VIs can't be opened either and there is no way for anyone else to open them. There is no back-door password that NI has.
