runtime error

hi

  i am getting this runtime error. refer the attached image.

i was running this code and it was working fine. i just locked the computer for a while and after i came back and tried to run the .vi, it started giving this error.

i have also attached the code.

Does the error persist even after restarting the computer?
When exactly does the error occur?

You may want to take a look at this KB article.

I've also heard that it's related to NI-Serial 3.0 as well as having older versions of the Run-Time engine.

i copied the block diagram to a new vi and the program did not give any error but since then i haven't logged off.
