run time engine

Hi all

I have instulled LV7.1 & 8.5

When I in LV 8.5 run Web Publishing tool I have error : "Failed loading Labview Run-Time Engine version 8.5".

What can I do?

Hi Iskander,

are you sure the Run Time Engine 8.5 is installed?

Are you sure you have LV 8.5 installed and not 8.5.1? Check the Help->About LabVIEW Dialog Box and see the current version at the bottom right corner of the dialog box.

Hi Iskander,

There are two places that LabVIEW will search for the Run-Time Engine. Please check that your RTE 8.5 is in either

 a) The directory specified by the registry key: HKEY Local Machine\Software\National Instruments\LabVIEW Run-Time\8.5

OR

 b) The default install location: Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\8.5

If the RTE is in neither of those locations, copy it over to one of them.

The  two places HKEY & Program Files are instulled.

My be Run Time LV 7.1 to mix  Run Time LV 8.5.

Are you able to use the Web Publishing Tool with LabVIEW 7.1? It sounds like a link between the run-time engine and LabVIEW was lost when you had installed version 8.5. You may have to uninstall and reinstall version 8.5.
