replace files in installer

Hello,

I am looking for a possiblity to change file (e.g. configuration oder documentation files) in an already build installer sw.

history:

we use the same labview program for differnet projects and the folks who make the project configuration don´t use labview.

At the moment I allways must  build a new installer.

aim:

the project folks only change the configuration and documantation files in the existing installer and bruning a setup cd.

Is there a way?

Hello Jan,

our installer is based on the MSI from MS, this programm is converting all necessary files in a *.msi files. These files are not directly editable, therefore you need to create the installer again (from LV).

I have the same question. Is this still the same after 7 years?

(I want to replace a certain *.xml file that is used during runtime in my installer and literraly only one character is changed)
