remove decoration from radio button

Is there a way to remove the recessed box decoration from the radio button control?

Cheers!

There is no way to remove it from the "System Radio Buttons Control" that you get from the System controls palette.  But if you drop the Radio Buttons Control from the Boolean palette, you can use the coloring tool to color its frame transparent.

More specifically, the "Classic" boolean palette. 🙂

You can do it to the one you drop from the modern Boolean palette, too.

IMO, the System Radio button itself is already made transparent except for its frames. Smiley Happy

If you want further, you can do so as suggested by Darren.

I always seem to have problems with that. 😉 Wile I can easily calolr the  box body transparent, I always have a hard time gettting rid of the shaded border. What's the secret?

Practice is the secret. Smiley Wink

IMO, both require the same amount of work, atleast 2 clicks to make the Radio button as completely transparent.

Yes, I vaguely remember that I was able to do so in the past.

Trying to color the shaded container box of a modern radio button control  transparent seems impossible (tried inLV  8.2.1 and 8.5). I cannot get it to work. It simply beeps at me if I use the transparent color brush on the frame. Am I missing the needed dexterity? Is there some INI setting?

It IS doable in 8.5. Smiley Happy

What you ve to do after coloring the surface transparent is, rt.click on the border of the radio button & use the Tab key to make it transparent, thats all... Smiley Wink

See the attached VI in LV 8.5.

I meant to say using the Tab key after the coloring tool is chosen. Rt-click the border with the coloring tool itself.
