Remote Panels allow you to view or monitor a VI froma remote location. The actual processing is still being done at the host machine. That said, any sound functions that you have in your VI will play a sound using the sound card of your host machine. This means that to hear the sound being generated you would need to be close to the host machine or use some alternative method to transport sound waves.
