real time LABVIEW

Hi

I have been working with LABVIEW for the past few months. I'm familiar with the basic functions but soon I'll have to start using Real Time LABVIEW. I'm not sure I understand what it is and how it works.  Also I'll have to port some M files in MATLAB to LABVIEW. So can anyone give some pointers on that please?

Basically, you upload your compiled code to a real time OS. This Os doesn't
have all the crap that windows has, so your application can run
deterministic. That's all there is to it.
