I have a pretty large networked program installed at various customer sites. Every now and then our serial instruments will stop talking and require extensive "futsing" to get them back to work.
Question: How would you suggest writing a VISA-server troubleshooting vi the customer could run that could return back enough info about devices that i could troubleshoot the problems over the phone?
Our setup usually includes 2-3 acquisition computers with expanded serial port drives and a bunch of environmental monitoring equipment. In some settings we need to use aliased drives, but not in all.
