problems with TDMS streaming and Origin

Hello,

I'm using the example TDMS Streaming - Cont Log and Read Data.vi and I record a file .tdms. But I can't read this file with the program Origin, just with Labview or DIAdem. When I used the example Cont Acq&Graph Voltage - Write data to file (TDMS).vi and I record a file .tdms, this one i can open with the program Origin.

SO, What the difference between the file .tdms create by first example and second example? Why I can't open the first one with origin?

Hi Marcela,

Do you have multiple versions of LabVIEW installed on your machine? The example Cont Acq&Graph Voltage - Write data to file (TDMS).vi should be an old example VI and should not exist in LV 2010 any more. Instead, we have the new examples like TDMS Streaming - Cont Log and Read Data.vi from LabVIEW 2010.

And, the old example should write TDMS 1.0 file format and the new example started to write TDMS 2.0 file format. I guess Origin could not load TDMS 2.0 file format now.
