problem with probe fonts

Hello,

I am having a problem with the font size on my probes.  When I place a probe, the label fonts are all 120, and the font in the probe is normal.  When I go into the Tools>Options menu it says that they are all set to 13.

Hi Jim,
Could you please post a screenshot to demostrate the effect you are speaking of?  Thanks!

Sure,

Here it is.  I sure hope we can solve this.  as you can see, the probe goes right off the screen, and with no scroll bars, I can't see most of it!

Try clicking an empty space on your front panel and/or block diagram and check the font size. If that also shows such high value, just press Ctrl+1 and try to create a new probe. Hope it works...

Hi Deepu,
I'm not sure I follow you regarding clicking on the block diagram, but in the font dialog pulldown it shows the font set to 13.  Also, when I place any objects other that probes, the font is normal (13 pt.).

Hi Jim,
Does it happen to all your probes?  If it doesn't, I think you might be using a custom probe.  Open the vi of your custom probe and make sure that the application font is set to 12 or however large you want it to be, and recreate your lables and save your probe.

Hi Yi,

I'm not using custom probes, but I did discover an oddity this morning.  The font for a probe on a boolean and the font in a conditional double probe are normal.  If I place a probe on any other data line, the data font is 13pt but the label font is 120pt.

Lim,

Do you use large font sizes on the front panel? I have not checked, but maybe the probe is picking up some property of the control which is the source for the line being probed.

Hi lmtis,
Go to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW X.X\vi.lib\_probes on your computer and figure out which of your probes has 120 fonts and change it.  You can also do a repair on your installation in which case it will fix any modified program files.  I would try looking at the probes VIs first instead of doing a repair.
