problem in reading quadrature encoder from advantech pci-1784 card
Dear freinds
We faced a great problem related to fetching the encoder data from advantech pci-1784 card in labview. Encoder reads 2500 pulses per revolution of motor. The motor is TST06401C. we get the position of encoder in advantech navigator, however we can not get the same data from the counters of labview. our questions are mentioned in detail as below:
1-Which type of counter shall we use?(enclosed picture contains the available types of counters)
2-The counters offer pulse/diretion, two pulse, X1, X2, and X4 types. Which one of them shall be used under which circumstances? Which one of them would you prefer to work with and why?
3-How to get the angle through counters? What other components are required to be added to counters?
4-Is there any other possible solution instead of implementation of counters?
