problem creating code from daq assistant

I'm  using daq assistant to configure a counter measurement and wanted to generate the LV code to get a personolized LV example for my measurement problem to study.
The only problem is that when I click generate code it only results in 1 VI being created which in turn is empty.

I'm using LV 8.5 with DAQmx 8.6.0f5.

Can anybody confirm this? And or tell me how to fix this, maybe upgrade to 8.5.1 with latest DAQmx drivers (like to postphone this a little as it takes valuable time)?

LabVIEW 8.20 seems to pose the same problem.

I treid this in LV 8.5.1 with DAQmx 8.7. It works like expacted (DAQmx code and a loop is created). I have some qwuestions left on this one though: What type of Counter MEasurement are you configuring. Could you maybe post the VI with the DAQ assistant you configured in it so I can test it out with yousettings or tell which setting you do so i can recreate it from scratch? How do you generate the code do you open up the frontpanel of the DAQ assistant by selecting: Right click on the DAQ assistant>>Open front panel or do you select Generate DAQmx code?

I still have the problem with LV 8.5.1 and DAQmx 8.7.
Create code and open front panel both don't work with my installation. Seems to be my particular installation if the same combination of version works at another system. I saw it earlier when I tried to convert some posted DAQ assistant problem.

Its not about the example anymore, I've got that working.
