overlapping for FFT

hi there,

I would like to do overlapping in FFT can anyone suggest me what is the best possible approach to include it. I am attaching my VI for which I have created to read the data from an ascii file and also I have used waveform segment VI so as to read teh data in segments.

thanks and regards,

Suresh

Hi Suresh,

Is something similar to this example what you're trying to do?

I'm sure we can modify this SubVI to use Waveform Data.

Hi Kyle,

yeh it is something similar to the example described but I will like to have 75% overlap. the reason for me to use overlap is to have more number of data points so as to smoothen response. i would very much appreciate if you could help me out here.

Thanks and regards,

Suresh

Hi Suresh,

It looks like you should be able to adjust the overlap by modifying the "shift" global variable. Is there a particular issue you are having when using this example?
