numeric indicator border color

using version 7.1 on Win 2000.
I want to use programatically change the border color of a simple numeric indicator while running.
what property does this? I cannot find one that changes the border.

You can't !
All the different parts of a numeric control cannot be accessed programmatically for editing. This is the case not only for color but also for relative size and positions (see for instance the increment/decrement arrows in a numeric control).
A poor work around is to paint the control parts with the "invisible" color, and to superpose the control and a decoration (which color properties can be accessed through a property node). The look is not allways very nice, but it works...
