measuring the temperature using J type thermocouple connected to DAQ970

I am trying to get the data from the DAQ970 where a J type thermocouple is connected to it. I was getting some errors while using the DAQ970 blocks.

Can anyone had done this could please share it so that it would be helpful for me as a reference.

DAQ970 is a Keysight instrument.

Are you using LabVIEW to control the instrument?

What is the error you encounter? What is the error code?

yes, it a keysight instrument and i am trying to not control the instrument using labview but trying to get the data from it.

I have attached the errors that i am getting and as i am new to this all. I dont whether  i am using correct blocks or not . I could help me it would be great.

The DAQ error is given from your device. Read the manual of your device to learn how to solve those "-222"/"-420" error messages!

The VISA error is a timeout error: your device didn't respond. Do you send the correct command to the correct address?
